End grain boards are particularly suitable for use with sharp, high-quality knives because the fibres of the wood are separated along their length and not simply cut up. This ensures an extremely gentle cutting process.

End grain? These are the cross-sections of the annual rings that give the board a chessboard-like appearance.

As with every board, the wood only ever comes from one tree, which creates a particularly attractive colour harmony with our end grain boards.
