The seeds of the melon

Hi!

We are Kathi and Tim from One in a Melon and we sell hand painted postcards :-)

In spring 2020 we decided to turn Kathi’s talent and Tim’s insatiable drive into a small project. This is how our heart project One in a Melon was born in October 2020.

An idea becomes a project

In the beginning, Kathi painted motifs, cut them out, glued them on and sent the finished cards to friends or to her sweet niece. This was so well received that the idea was born to let several people participate in the cards.

All motifs are created at Kathi’s desk. At first with brush and scissors, but now she paints more and more motifs digitally, which allows us much more detail in the design.

The work behind the cards

Tim mainly takes care of everything that happens apart from the design. Whether it’s the website, coordinating the print store, or finding new stores to include our cards in their assortment – there’s always something to do somewhere.

Since 2020, we’ve added more and more cards and collections and continue to work diligently on ideas and requests.
